It’s an app by women, for women who want to radiate confidence but are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem or just feel overwhelmed with the daily grind. Clementine helps women to sleep better and feel calmer. It includes easy access to a range of hypnotherapy sessions and the option to have mantras pop up on your phone. We’re building a community of women – via this website, Instagram and our podcast – and would love you to be part of it.
Kim Palmer came up with the idea for Clementine after going through a difficult period in her life. You can hear all about it on this podcast episode. She got the ball rolling, started designing the app then brought in Annie Ridout (founder of The Early Hour). Initially, Annie was helping with copy, but soon they were planning everything together and so made it an official partnership. Kim and Annie are big supporters of women, and love working together on Clementine.
Everyone is welcome to use Clementine – it is accessible for anyone to download from the App store ©. The current sessions have been developed with women in mind; however, that does not mean that others will not find them useful. Clementine will constantly be evolved and developed to suit the changing needs of the Clementine community.
We hope that you’ll be able to feel an immediate benefit from listening to the recordings – often people feel refreshed and renewed straight away. Everyone is different, though; some people respond instantly to hypnotherapy sessions, while for others it may take longer. If you don’t feel a big difference straight away, keep going with them – the more you listen, the greater the impact.
Listening through headphones is ideal, as this shuts out all the noise around you so that you can really hear the music and voice. It’s relaxing listening to the sessions while lying or sitting somewhere comfortable, away from distractions, but it works just as well if you’re commuting, pushing a buggy or doing your shopping.
Different people use them in different ways but here’s a guide for getting started…
The Sleep sessions are perfect before heading to bed – to help you get a good night’s sleep. And if you wake up in the night, there’s a recording to get you back to sleep.
The Power nap session is a brilliant way to recharge your batteries. Find a meeting room at work, or lie down for a quick nap when your kids are sleeping during the day. Either way you’ll notice a big result in terms of your energy, clarity and confidence.
The Confidence sessions are amazing to listen to when that inner voice/critic is taking over. Or for some self-assurance ahead of an important event you’re preparing for. There is a long, detailed session as well as a short, snappy session to give you a quick boost.
The De-stress sessions are great when you’ve had a tough day. The longer 17-minute version will help you to let go of the stress so that you can enjoy your evening or weekend. But if you don’t have time for this, the ‘Reset’ session is a fast and effective way to restore your inner calm.
Yes, absolutely. For the longer sessions, we are using a technology called ‘binaural beats’. You may notice a subtle pulsating sound that is caused by playing slightly different beats separately into each ear.
There are years of scientific study into this sound technology which has been proven to improve the quality of sleep, concentration, stress management and pain control.
No, not at all. You can dip back into at any stage, whenever you’re ready.
Yes, absolutely, it shouldn’t make any difference. You will always, on some level, be absorbing the information. A busy mind may mean that it takes you a little longer to get into the session but ultimately it will help you to relax.
No. You should never listen to a hypnotherapy session whilst you are driving or operating machinery.
This really differs for each individual and the nature of any problems that may need to be resolved. We’d encourage you to listen to the sessions as much as you possibly can. The more you listen to them the sooner you’ll reap the benefits.
Swipe right over the home screen or lock screen.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
To add the Clementine Panic Button widget, tap +. (To remove it, tap -).
To reorder your widgets, touch and hold next to the apps then drag them into the order you’d prefer.
To finish, tap Done.
We hope we have included the most important sessions initially – general enough to help as many people as possible. The idea is that we’ll keep adding to the library throughout the year. We’d love to hear your ideas for new sessions, so please send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
It’s super easy. When you log into the app click on ‘forgot password’ and it will take you through some simple steps to reset. If you don’t get the email immediately please check your spam/junk email.
The app is now FREE, hooray.
Firstly everyone needs to install the latest update via the Appstore.
For those lovely ladies who have been paying a monthly subscription please ‘cancel’ the subscription in your ‘subscription’ settings on your phone. When you next open your app you will receive a pop up with a link to cancel the subscription. Please cancel this as soon as possible so you avoid being charged.
If you are unsure if you have an active subscription – please follow these instructions.
For everyone else who downloaded Clementine but never used it – you can just start using it from now and you won’t be charged.
Hypnosis activates a deep relaxation response in your body that reduces nervous system activity, decreases blood pressure, slows heart rate and accelerates healing. It has been used as a great self-improvement tool for many years. It’s a proven therapeutic aid – helping to relieve tension, lessen anxiety states and promote feelings of calmness and tranquility. If you’d like to know more, hit Google – there’s plenty of evidence out there.
Absolutely – everyone has individual needs and hypnotherapy is just one way that can support your overall wellbeing.
Not much. They are the same brainwave activity. The good news is for those who have a busy brain and feel meditation is too difficult to achieve, hypnosis can be really effective because even with mind chatter, the information is still going in.
Absolutely! It’s completely safe and you’re in the hands of a professionally trained, competent hypnotherapists.
Some people do fall asleep. This is fine; it won’t change the results of the hypnosis – the information is still going into your mind. Your unconscious mind is open to receive and store information 24 hours a day, whether you’re alert and listening or not.
We’d love to hear your feedback. In fact, without this it will be difficult to evolve and make Clementine even better. Feel free to email us: email@example.com
